The very popular Wally’s Cave on Lion’s Head has been receiving more and more visitors with its growing Instagram fame. The combination of increased traffic and unofficial, “illegal” trails, has caused major erosion which has led to a high risk of rock fall.
In the interest of public safety and to allow the plants to grow back, ALL routes to Wally’s Cave have been closed to the public. If anyone is caught on the paths to Wally’s Cave by SANPARKS officials, they will be fined.
