Matt is a travel writer and photographer based in Cape Town. He spent six years travelling abroad and worked for a turtle sanctuary in Nicaragua, an ice cream factory in Norway and on a camel safari in India. He was a door-to-door lightbulb-exchanger in Australia, a pub crawl guide in Amsterdam and a journalist in Colombia. In that time he hiked the Annapurna Circuit in Nepal and the Huayhuash Trail in Peru, which inspired him to explore the mountains in the Cape upon his return.
